Adriona Nashae Hanks-Trials, 22, the daughter of Tianna Hartsfield and Dimitri Trials, transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Richmond VA.

A student of Calvary Adventist School in Newport News, VA and Richmond Academy in Richmond, VA, where she graduated with high honors. She went on to attend Columbia Union University in Takoma Park, MD, where she was studying to become a nurse.

Adriona enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, being a fashionista, and volunteering her time to help those in need. Born with a special gift of gab, she was always full of lively conversation and a smile that would light up any room.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Frank Earl Fate and her very special uncle, Robert Williams affectionally called Uncle Bob, whom she loved dearly.

Adriona leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Tianna Hartsfield; father, Dimitri Trials; sister, Janeta Hartsfield; maternal grandmother, Reta Hanks; paternal grandmother, Janice Graves; paternal grandfather, Joseph Trials; aunts, Tamisha Hanks, Shayna Fate and Aisha Graves; a host of cousins, church aunts and uncles and friends. She is also survived by her bonus father, Curtis Hartsfield and the Hartsfield family.

Funeral service will be held at 11a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church, Newport News. Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Sickle Cell foundation or the Make a Wish foundation.  O. H. Smith & Son is honored to serve the family.
