Agazina B. Morris of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Hampton, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2024. She was born the youngest child to the late King and Harriett Butler in Richmond, Virginia, on January 14, 1955.

Zina attended the Lancaster County, Virginia, school system before moving to Toms River, New Jersey, where she finished her education. After living in New Jersey, Zina moved to Hampton, Virginia, to be closer to family, pursue her college education, and build a life for herself and her children. After a few years of working earnestly, Zina decided she wanted to pursue a career as a Paralegal. With her heart set on achieving that goal, she attended Thomas Nelson Community College and the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where she graduated in Paralegal Studies.

After achieving her paralegal degree and having various opportunities to take on positions in and out of state, motherhood took precedence over her career and accomplishments. Zina remained in Newport News, Virginia, and worked in Newport News, Inc./Spiegel for 25 years as a UPS tracer clerk. Her time with this company allowed her to embrace motherhood and build a life with her family in Virginia.

At the tender young age of 8 years old, Zina gave her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yahushua Ha Mashiach) at Sharon Baptist Church in Weems, Virginia. In her adult years, she was a member of Providence Baptist Church under the leadership of the late great Reverend Dr. James J. Gray. She served as a member of the church choirs, hospitality, and anything that was asked of her to help serve and build the kingdom of God. Zina lived her life sold out for Jesus (Yahushua). She would continually witness God's goodness and all He has done in her life. Zina would always speak kind words and words of encouragement for life. Her kind, loving spirit was uplifting when you were down! Her heart was established in the word of God, and her walk exemplified it. Zina was rebaptized on May 5, 2024, at Worship With Wonders Church under the Leadership of Pastors Myles and DeLana Rutherford in Marrietta, Georgia.

Zina was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Niece, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. She was full of love, kindness, compassion, and understanding. With her sweet, excellent demeanor, Zina touched many lives.

Zina was preceded in death by her parents, King and Harriette Butler, and siblings Harry Butler, Rosie Doubling, Arthur Butler, Viola Waddy, Geneva Bea, Robbie Butler, Melvin Butler, Leon Butler, Leroy Butler, Clinton Butler, Joe Butler, Eanest Butler, and nephew G. Lamont "Woody" Jenkins.

Zina leaves to cherish her memories, as she says, "My Greatest Accomplishments," three wonderful sons, Anthony (Teisha) Morris, Shawn Morris, and Arron (Abby) Cook, all of Douglasville, Ga. She is survived by her last living Aunt Classie Edwards of Lancaster, VA; Sisters, Yvonne (Hector) O'Berry and Phylis (Melvin) Smith; and brother, Curtis Butler, all of Hampton, Va. Grandchildren, Trinity Morris, Trez'ja Morris, Armani Brown, Malik Jefferson, King Morris, Hadassah Morris, MaliYah Jefferson, AriYah Morris, Avah Cook, and Arron Cook Jr. Great-Grands, Aiden Brown and Jakob Walker; her "Stick of Dynomite" Niece/Daughter Tennille Brooks, adopted daughter Lorieda (Tony) Jennings, (and her children) Taylor Ward, Lorieda Ward, Tyler Smith, and Lori Smith of Suffolk, Va., adopted son Andrew Callahan of Douglasville, Ga., and Elijah Herring and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Providence Baptist Church, 1331, 30th Street, Newport News, VA.  Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.  Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  O.
