Anita D. Parker, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her home in Hampton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents Junius M. and Dorothy E. Walker and her son Marcus Walter Parker. She is survived by her daughters, Deniece Blair (Jerome) of Phoenix, Arizona and Pamela Parker of Hampton, Virginia; two grandsons, DeVante Parker and Xavier Lloyd; two granddaughters, Maxine and Madison Blair; eight brothers and sisters as well as a host of loved ones and friends. After graduating from Hampton High School, she attended Thomas Nelson Community College. After traveling the world, she remained a life-long resident of Hampton and was a dedicated Visual Wax Inspector with Howmet/Arconic for over 20 years. Anita enjoyed dancing, loving on her family, and especially spending time with her four grandchildren. They were the center of her universe.
The Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Anita brought joy and love to all of those she came into contact with. She will truly be missed by all.
