Annie Louise Joyner, 88, died Feb. 11, 2018 at her son's home in Carrollton, VA. Mrs. Joyner was born in Columbus, GA on July 11, 1929 to Walter and Annie Lou Crawford.

Mrs. Joyner was a member of Ivy Baptist Church for approximately 65 years. She served as a Deaconess and on numerous other auxiliaries. She attended Spencer High School in Columbus, GA. Mrs. Joyner "Momma Joyner," "Momma Louise" was full of energy and life; loved mentoring to others and always sharing the gospel. She was employed by Gloria Manufacturing for approximately 40 years as a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Joyner; grandson, DeCarlo Joyner; her siblings and her husband's siblings.

She is survived by her 7 children: son, Joel Joyner (Maxine) of Carrollton; daughters, Gail Nettles of Newport News, Gemille Williams (Tommy) of Williamsburg, Mirian Magwood (Victor) of Savannah, GA, Eunita "Dee" Noble of Peoria, IL, Joanette Riddick of Newport News and Consandra "Sandy" Joyner of Newport News; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:45 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at Ivy Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.  Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home followed by a wake service from 6 to 7 p.m.  Mrs. Joyner will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service on Friday.  O.
