Annie P.
Stith
d. Feb 21, 2022
Annie Pearl Stith, 68, entered into Eternal Life in her home on February 21, 2022. During her final days many relatives and friends visited and her loving niece, Roleca Sedgewick, was by her side when she departed. Annie Pearl was born in Nash County, NC on July 13, 1953 to Winston and Ethel Nicholson who preceded her in death.
Annie Pearl, affectionately known as, "A.P.," was a very friendly and loving person. She was baptized at an early age and was not afraid of a little conflict. If she believed in something, she would stand her ground. She loved family, being around people, and watching her favorite NFL Football Team, The Dallas Cowboys. Early in her life, she made many close and dedicated friends in Newsome Park. She often talked about her Newsome Park friends and you could feel the love she had for them all.
Annie Pearl married her loving husband, Rickie Stith, on December 31, 1982 (39 years). Rickie named one of their homes, "The Ponderosa" and the other "The High Chaparral". Throughout their marriage, Annie Pearl would say: "my husband will take care of me" and Rickie would say: "for better or for worse - that's my wife until death do us part".
Annie Pearl was also known for her love to cook. It was common for her to cook a good meal on a Sunday. Her love for cooking led her to work in the cafeteria for the Hampton School System. During her time there, she encouraged many students and worked until her health began to fail.
Annie Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Pearline and Pennie, brother, Glenn and nephew, Forest (Alexander).
Annie Pearl leaves to cherish: her husband, Rickie Stith, one brother, Jerome "Popcorn" Nicholson (Jacqueline of Suffolk), brother-in-law, Al Mason, nephews, Tony, Glenn (Bam), Winston (Bird), and Benjamin; nieces, Angela, Kelli, Nashawn, Tina, Roleca, Bianca, Covea, Andrea and Jasmine, aunts, Gladys, Virginia, and Delois, a host of great nephews and great nieces, and a special friend, Sherelle Peartree.
