Barbara A. Harris departed this life on January 9, 2024. She was born on August 15, 1963 in Newport News, Virginia to Robert and Martha Harris.

Barbara attended Magruder Elementary School and Carver Middle School in Newport News. She worked at several motels over the years.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and had a passion for laughing and joking. She enjoyed social moments with close friends listening to R&B, soul, and classic music. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, crabbing, and watching Dallas Cowboys football games. She also loved paint-by-numbers kits and working on puzzles. It was a daily pleasure for her to go bike riding. Barbara was known for her outgoing personality and bright smile. She always had a sparkle in her big pretty eyes. She was a kind person and will be missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Harris and Martha Jane Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Matlean Smart and Loretta Harris; brothers, Robert Harris and Samuel Butcher; aunt and uncle Ruth and Stalin Bryant; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and good friends.
