Benjamin Lee Borum "Beno," 63, the son of the late Barrett Borum, Sr., and Poreatha "Cora" Borum was born on July 9, 1960, in Newport News, VA. He departed this life to go on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Washington, and Vernetta "Netta" Borum and brother, Barrett Borum, Jr.

Benjamin was known as "Beno" or "Ben" to family and friends. "Beno" attended and was educated in the Newport News public school system.

"Beno" was kindhearted and although he may not have had much, he would give the shirt off his back. He loved to listen to music (oldies but goodies were his favorites). He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters, Pelista Cross (Spurgeon) of Hampton, VA, and Alberta Powers of Columbia, SC; one brother, Wallace Borum of Yorktown, VA; three aunts, Barbara Fox (Newport News, VA), Vivian White (Yorktown, VA) and Marian Thomas (Hampton, VA); nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other loving family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
