Obituary

Bernard L. Green passed on June 13, 2022.   He was born in Newport News, Virginia on August 23, 1943 to Henry and Frances Jones Green.

Bernard was a member of the 1962 class of Huntington High School. Bernard moved to New York, married Joan Parker and had three sons. He served in the United States Army.  In 1987, Bernard and Patricia Wise Green were married.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Patricia Wise Green; daughter, Allison Wise; sons, Garth Green (Andrea), Marcus Green (Donna), Calvin Green (Ari) and Gregory Wise; eight grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Historic First Baptist Church on Bute Street in Norfolk.  In his memory and honor, donations can be made to First Baptist Church's school R.E.A.D.Y. Academy.
