Beulah M. Moore, 97, passed peacefully while asleep, on December 29, 2022, at home. She was born on May 15, 1925, in Greenville, North Carolina. She was one of thirteen children of the late Church Harris and Ella Daniels Harris.

A longtime resident of Norfolk, Virginia, she moved to Hampton and lived with two of her daughters when she turned 90. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church for many years and regularly attended her adopted church, First Baptist Church of Hampton, when she moved to Hampton.

She was a strong woman and her faith in the Lord helped to sustain her throughout her life. She lived a full life. In addition to loving to attend church, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her church friends.

She is survived by 6 of her 8 children: Linda Phillips (Greenville, NC), Camilla Doctor, Annetta Wharton (Hampton, VA), Brunetta Moore, Cedrick Moore (Norfolk, VA), and Fentrell Moore (Hakika) (Virginia Beach, VA); her sisters, Ella Langley (Portsmouth, VA) and Zula Morris (Kinston, NC); sister-in-law, Ella Moore (Greenville, NC); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

The Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at The Shiloh Baptist Church, 745 Park Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23504. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, in her memory.

Interment will be at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
