CALIFORNIA-   Christine B. Lawson was born to the late Melvin T. and Mary Clark Davis on January 25, 1926 and departed this life on May 30, 2023.

A native of Richmond,Virginia, she attended Richmond public schools and upon graduating Armstrong High in 1942 she relocated to the Peninsula in 1952.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, two sisters and two husbands- Arthur W. Bouldin and Wilbur E. Lawson.

She graduated Hampton Institute (currently Hampton University) and went right to work in the University's business office for more than twenty five years before retiring. She was a member of Hampton University Quarter Century Club and served as financial secretary for several years.

Christine was a member of Second Baptist Church East End having joined under the Pastorate of Rev. Preston T. Hayes and served as church clerk and secretary to the board for several years.

She is survived by children Everett Lawson, Nat Bouldin and a family blended host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the Second Baptist Church East End-Newport News, Virginia.   O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
