Clara M. Carter, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was born in Russell County, Alabama. She was currently employed with The Gardens at Warwick Forest.

She is survived by children, Jerry Vann (Barbara) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Barbara Bryant of Duncan, SC and Tammie Carter of Newport News; 9 grandchildren, a host of great grands, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Monday. O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
