Clarence Thornton, 80, departed this life on May 17, 2025.

He was drafted in the military at a young age and was dedicated to honoring his country. He enjoyed donating to local charities and organizations for children. He loved trucks and fixing things around the house and he also enjoyed spending time with his friends. Clarence will truly be missed.

Viewing will be from 12-3p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow with full military honors in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
