CHARLESTON, SC - Colonel (U.S. Army Ret.) Lonnie Lee Stith, Esq., 68, of Charleston, South Carolina was born July 4, 1949 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Mr. Harry Wendall Stith, Sr. and the late Mrs. Grace Evelyn Miles Stith. On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, he entered eternal peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The transition took place at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC as a result of post knee surgery complications.

To cherish his memories, Lonnie leaves his loving wife, Dr. Carol Denise Jackson Stith; his siblings: Mrs. Michele Bell (husband James), Ms. Sharron Reid, Mrs. Bonita Daughtrey (husband Jessie), Mrs. Donna Scott (husband James Eric), Mrs. Candace Lee (husband Michael), Ms. Valerie Clayton, Mr. Terrell Stith and Mr. Darrell Stith all of Hampton, VA; mother-in-law, Mrs. Clara Smith Jackson; brother-in-law, Dr. Terrence Wise; goddaughter, Skye Castle; special niece, Eboni Bell-Banks and a host of other nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and sympathetic friends.

Lonnie was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Mr. Monroe Walter Stith and Mr. Harry Wendall Stith, Jr. (wife Karen).

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in New Life Church, 1525 Power Plant Parkway, Hampton, VA. 23669. Viewing will be on the morning of service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. He will be laid to rest on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Hampton National Cemetery, Cemetery Road at Marshall Avenue, Hampton, VA 23669 at 10:00 a.m. with Full Military Honors. Visitation with the family will be this evening, Thursday, November 2, 2017 at The Palmetto Mortuary, Inc., 1122 Morrison Drive, Charleston, SC 29403 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the Mu Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will be conducting their Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.palmettomortuary.com or at www.ohsmithandsonfuneralhome.com.
