Cora Williams Taylor of Newport News passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 31, 2018 at the Williamsburg Hospice House, at the age of 93. Cora was born September 1, 1924 in Nashville, NC. She was the eldest of 9 children born to Hodgie and Elijah Williams. She lived and worked in New York City at the New York Hospital where she later retired. She married the late Adok Taylor and moved to Newport News, Virginia. She was a long time member of Christian Union Church where she was involved in many auxiliaries.

She leaves to cherish her memories her caregiver/nephew, David A. Williams(Darla), sister, Jean Burts of Queens, NY, brothers, Louis Williams of Columbus, OH, and Edward Williams of Austin, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
