Doris Binns Wyatt, 94, was called home to glory on Monday September 27, 2022.  Mrs. Wyatt was a native of Newport News, VA where she graduated from Huntington High School in 1946. For most of her adult life Doris resided in Hampton, VA with her husband of 74 years, Lucius C. Wyatt.

Doris was an astute business professional with the highlight of her career being the establishment of the J.W. Binns Corporation which she managed for 30 years.

Doris was a devoted member of St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church for more than 50 years where she served on the Finance Committee and was a leader and participant in various church outreach projects.

Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  While meticulous and exacting in all her endeavors, she was most of all a loving and compassionate woman who demonstrated what love looks like when Jesus is the center of your life.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence A. Binns and Daisy Johnson Binns; three brothers, Dr. Leon W. Binns, Dr. Silas O. Binns and Jerry A. Binns; two sisters, Alfreda Binns Boykins and Marie Binns Vaughn.

A Celebration of Life and Resurrection will be held for Doris on Friday, September 30, 11:00 a.m. at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church, 1242 Queen Street, Hampton, VA.  At the request of the family, there will be no public viewing.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
