Hampton- Dynnell Johnson, 73, was called to Heaven on Monday, March 13, 2017. She was born in Nash County, NC to the late Van Leonard and Ethel McCowan. She was a retired Restoration Expert at Hall Construction. She was married for 34 years to the late Alfred Lee Johnson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Green and Doris Powell.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Margaret Mitchell (Reese), Pauline McCowan, Johanna McCowan, Ernestine McCowan and Florence Johnson; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and brothers, Roosevelt McCowan and James Powell.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
