She was born February 17, 1948, at Buxton Hospital in Newport News, VA (later renamed Mary Immaculate Hospital). She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susie Mae Williams Ross.

In 1974, she became the first African American woman plumber in the city of Richmond. She was employed by Thornton Plumbing and Heating until 1985. A lifelong learner, Earline continued attending training and educational program for many years.
Always busy, Earline loved reading her bible and was a great gardener and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kevin P. McMillan, and oldest sister, Mary Julia Peace. Blessed by her life and left to cherish her beautiful memories are daughter, Christy Ross of Daytona Beach, Fl; grandson, Christopher Ross (Kelsie) and great-grandsons, Carter and Kyrie.
