In Loving Memory of Edgar Allen Logan, Jr.

Edgar Allen Logan, Jr. (Eddie), 66, made his heavenly transition on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Eddie was born in Baltimore, MD, on June 8, 1959, to the late Edgar Allen Logan, Sr. and Henrietta Logan. He was a cherished brother to sisters Vivian, Antoinette, and Ericka.

In 1977, he began a distinguished military career, joining the Air Force Reserves to fund his education and serve his country. This decision shaped his future, leading to a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a decorated 20+ year career as an Air Force Officer, retiring as a Major.

It was at the University of Maryland where he met his soulmate, Linda Hart. They married on June 23, 1984, and were blessed with three children: Edgar III, Jalisa, and Desireé. As his military career took him around the world, his family remained his anchor.

After retiring from the military, Eddie continued to serve others. A man of profound faith and service, Eddie was a dedicated leader at St. Paul AME Church, serving as a Steward, Sunday School Director, choir member, and active member with the Sons of Allen (men’s ministry). He also shared his lifelong discipline as a martial artist and black belt, mentoring students within his church and community.

He leaves a legacy of strength, faith, and service. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his children, and a host of family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026, at St. Paul AME Church. A public viewing will be held from 3pm to 6pm on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
