Eric LaMont Hayes, 52, was born to Napoleon Hayes and the late Bertha Dancy Hayes. Eric gained his wings on February 21, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, TaShai Cheeseman; father, Napoleon Hayes; sister, LaWanda Hayes; three uncles, Munir Rasheda, Bernard Dancy and Marcellus Dancy; girlfriend, Vanessa C. Pearson; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at St. James United Methodist Church, 1533 West Queen Street, Hampton. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
