Floyd Edward Hill, Jr. "June", 88, departed this life on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born and spent his life residing in Yorktown.  He is survived by his 5 daughters, Edith Wallace, Alice Hill, and Floydean Stringfield all of Newport News, Charlotte Hill of Yorktown and Alelia Hill of Washington, DC; 5 sisters, Maggie Hundley of Williamsburg, Pauline Carter, Carolyn Weal, Hettie Gee, and Lillian Perrin all of Newport News; brother Sherman Hill of Newport News; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday June 8, 2018 at Colossian Baptist Church, Newport News, with Rev. Peter Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in Yorktown Masonic Cemetery.  On Thursday, viewing will be from 12 to 4 p.m.  at the funeral home and a wake service will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  at the church.  O.
