Gary L. Kirkman, 65, departed this life on October 22, 2025.

Born November 6, 1959 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Cleveland and Agatha Kirkman.

Gary was a Cab Driver for Porter's Cab Company in Newport News for twenty plus years.

Gary was a huge fan of the Rapper, TOO SHORT.  He was also an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Dorothy Kirkman and their only son Anthony "Tony" Kirkman;  three brothers, Gilbert Kirkman, Cleveland Kirkman, Jr .and  James Kirkman.

He also leaves his grandchildren, Briana and Kelsey of Murrieta, California, Anyah of South Carolina, Katelyn of Chester, Virginia and Ezra of Petersburg,Virginia; nieces and nephews, Cleveland  lll, Agatha "Nikki", Eva, Ebony, Sydney and Candance; a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
