Gayle Davis Wilson, 63, departed her earthly life on June 29, 2023, after a lengthy illness. The beautiful, adopted daughter of loving parents the late George and the late Susie Thaxton Davis was born August 7, 1959, in Hampton, Virginia. She was predeceased by her brother, Glenn Davis.

She was educated in the Hampton School System. Upon graduating from Hampton High School class of 1977, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University pursuing a degree in Business Administration.  Gayle was employed at Peoples Bank, later known as Consolidated Bank, as a Teller and as a Customer Service Representative.

She attended Trinity Baptist Church until her health began to fail.

Gayle leaves to celebrate her life her soul mate, life partner Mark Armstrong; her dearest daughter, Aspen Wilson; loving cousins: Sharon Griffin and Jocelyn Hawkins; family-in-love: Fred (Delilah), Frances, Nelson, Brenda; nieces and nephews: Sacil, Tenia, Annese, Philip (Frances), Elijah and Isaiah; Aunt Fannie; and friends.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
