On Thursday, July 29, 2021 Geraldine A Turner entered into eternal rest.  Geraldine was born October 31, 1924 to the late Rosa Lee Cary and Raymond C. Crittenden, Sr. in Richmond, Virginia.  She enjoyed being a Pinochle Bug, reading and caring for her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother and friend.  She was married to the late John G. Turner for fifty-five years.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Dr. Linwood R. Turner, Sr. of Silver Spring, MD, three daughters, Laverne T. Silva (Severino) of Williamsburg, VA, Dr. Margaret R. Buxton (Bobby) of Portsmouth, VA, and Katherine A. Johnson (Kevin) of Silver Spring, MD; seven grandchildren, Linwood Turner, Jr. of Silver Spring, MD,  Cheryl Bucksell of Columbia, MD, Christie Turner of Reston, VA, Johnathan Buxton of Norfolk, VA, Jessica Johnson of Houston, TX, Ericka Turner of Atlanta, GA, and Jordan Johnson of Houston, TX; seven great and five great, great grandchildren, and a host of close family and friends.

She was predeceased by one grandson, Justin M. Buxton.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2021 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  Due to the COVID 19 the homegoing celebration service will be private for the immediate family only.  Condolences may be sent to O. H.
