Obituary

Gloria Jackson White was called home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2020.  Gloria was born on June 8, 1946 in Farmville, Virginia.  Gloria was raised in Norfolk, Virginia, where she attended Booker T. Washington High.  She later graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Gloria loved the Lord and was a member of New Life Church in Kempsville, Virginia.  She was passionate about serving and greeted guests and members at the church's information center.  Her warm smile and pleasant demeanor left a lasting impression on all who she encountered.  Gloria faithfully attended services and loved worshipping together with her family and friends.

Her most recent occupation was held with Stihl Corporation and Huntsman Chemical in Administration, where she subsequently retired.

Gloria's flair for creative design made way for her to fulfill her true passion, interior decorating.  Her keen eye for elegance and class was evident in each of her design looks.  She was meticulous and intricate about organization and tidiness.  Gloria's gentle manner and grace will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jackson and sister, Phyllis Dominguez.  She is survived by her son, Ted White, Jr., mother, Lillian Paige Roberson, niece, Ramona Dominguez, aunt, Anna Davis, cousins, Carl (Jean) Jackson, Jerry (LaRita) Davis, Leon (Ellie) Carter, Larry (Sherry) Carter, Michael, Monica, and the Paige Family in Norfolk, Virginia.

Let us celebrate Gloria's life. Glo didn't give up, she went up! She fought a good fight, she tried to do what was right! Gloria has made it home to be with the Lord, where she suffers no more.

Let us honor ...that Gloria is resting in the heavenly realms of God's love, comfort, and peace.

May we rejoice ...that her glorious spirit forever survives in our loving memories and sounds of her laughter!

May we thank God ...for her soul's resting, thank God for Gloria who lived a life of blessing. We are grateful to God for all who loved Gloria and all that knew her love.

We praise God ...who LOVES her best!!
