Hermine Talue Bacote Albea was granted her eternal rest by her heavenly father on Friday, August 21, 2020. Her life's journey began on January 12, 1941 in Newport News, Virginia, born to the late Ralph, Sr. and Lucille Brown Bacote. She was educated at Booker T. Washington Elementary and graduated in the Class of 1958 from Huntington High School. She furthered her education at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina graduating in 1963. Upon returning home she was hired as a 3 ^rd grade teacher at Booker T. Washington, in the third grade classroom where she once was a student. She retired from Newport News Public Schools after 39 years of dedicated service. On May 28, 1966, she married Clarence R. Albea. From this union, two children were born, Victor R. Albea and O'dea L. Albea.

Hermine was a lifetime member of Trinity Baptist Church. Where she gave her life at the age of time to Christ. On May 9, 1973 she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., where she served as Basileus from 1986- 1990 and 2001 – 2006 and also served on numerous communities. Her favorite community was Zeta Amicae Auxiliary where she served as Co-advisor for many years.

For over 30 years, she enjoyed playing double deck Pinochle with The Friendly Girls Pinochle Club. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and decorating for her favorite holiday, Christmas. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, her family and her sorority.

Hermine was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Clarence R. Albea; parents, Ralph V. Bacote, Sr. and Lucille Brown Bacote; sister, Claudia L. Bacote; and brother, Ralph V. Bacote, Jr.  Surviving to cherish her precious memories are her children, Victor R. Albea (Tracie) and O'dea L. Albea (Steven Johnson fiancé); grandsons, Victor A. Albea (Angelia) and Harrison R. Albea; granddaughter, Miya C. Albea; and great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Marie Albea; brother, LeRoy H. Bacote (Judy) of Robinsonville, NC; sister in-law, A. Jean Bacote; nieces, Nona L. Bacote, Shelly and Katie Albea, and Naketta Pearshall; nephews, Timothy P. Bacote (LaToya) and Phillip Albea; great nieces, I'ana D. Holmes and Ta'Leah N. Bacote; great nephews, Dwayne and Dontrell Albea; adopted son, Michael Robinson (Nicole) and God Son Ramon Robinson; and other extended family and friends.

Viewing will be from at 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2900 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, VA  23607.  Funeral service will be private, however can be viewed by clicking on her photo below after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
