NEWPORT NEWS - James E. Brown, husband of Sandra W. Brown, passed on Aug. 8, 2017. He retired from VA Natural Gas, was a member of Second Baptist Church East End, and served in the United States Army. A homegoing service will be held 10 a.m., Sat., Aug. 12, 2017 at Second Baptist Church East End, 3307 Chestnut Ave., Newport News, VA 23607. Entombment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be on Fri., Aug. 11, 2017 from 1- 6 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
