Janet Hill Jackson passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Woodrow J. Jackson.

She is survived by her daughter, Ellinor Long of Newport News, Virginia; sisters, Julia Hill of Newport News, VA, Joyce Turner of Wakefield, VA and Jessie Davis of Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 5405 Roanoke Ave, Newport News VA. Entombment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. There will be no Viewing.  O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
