Her late siblings are Mary States, Helen Baldwin, Geraldine Booker, Audrey Harris, Elizabeth Miller, and brother William Brackett. She loved and adored them all.

Janet passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on July 6, 2024, around 5 am. She was the wife of the late TSGT Frederick J. Tolliver and mother to her daughter Cherika. Janet was a stay-at-home wife. She was dedicated to taking care of her loving husband and family. Janet touched the lives of many with her warmth, wisdom, and gentle presence.

She was survived by her loving daughter Cherika J. Tolliver-Harling, whose unwavering devotion brought her immeasurable joy and comfort throughout her life. Janet's loving spirit and kind heart will forever live on through her three adoring granddaughters, Alisha Liggins, Patricia Harling, and Felicia Harling-Gordon whom she nurtured and cherished with her endless love. She shared special bonds with each of her four great-grandsons, who brought love, laughter, and happiness into her life.
