Joe O. Purter, 84, passed away in Newport News on November 25, 2022. A viewing will be held 3-6 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Home-going service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022 at First Baptist Church Denbigh, 3628 Campbell Road, Newport News, VA 23602. O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
