John H. "Johnny" Jones, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2018.  He was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 6, 1931 where he spent his childhood years. He later settled in Hampton, Virginia where he resided until his death. John was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, mentor and friend.

Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Hampton, 229 North King Street, Hampton, VA  23669.  Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.  Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the funeral home followed by wake from 3 to 4 p.m.  John will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Hampton in John's honor.  O.
