Obituary

Keith Reginald White departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 24, 2021, while at his house, sitting in his favorite recliner, resting.

Keith was born on January 30, 1949, in Newport News, VA, to the late Elizabeth White. After graduating from Huntington High School, he attended Norfolk State University.

Keith served as a faithful soldier for 20 years in the United States Army and retired with an honorable discharge. He then worked for the United States Post Office for 16 years and retired from there as well.

Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a man who was well loved by his family, friends, neighbors, and all who knew him in the community. He lived his life in such a way that only good things were said about him by those who knew him. He was a dedicated member of the United House of Prayer for All People. He was a faithful member of the Male Ushers and worked closely with the Noble Guards. He was a strong supporter of his pastor, Apostle Barksdale.

Keith was preceded in death by: his loving mother, Elizabeth White, and his dearly beloved daughter, Keshuan Brandy White.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of 45 years, Portia White, who stood by his side and upheld him through all of life's challenges; she was devoted to his health and well-being until the end; his son, Darion B. White, Sr. (Sylvia); grandson, Darion White, Jr. (KaNasia); granddaughters, Ashley Lang and Jazzmine White; great-grandson, Kaleb; great-granddaughters, Dairyon, De'Youre and Dreaym; brother, Robert Bob White; sisters, Faye James (Jesse) and Donna Stone; aunts, Jocelyn Howard (Harry) and Ruth Williams; a host of beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the United House of Prayer for All People, 1811 Ivy Avenue, Newport News.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the White family.
