Kenneth Wayne
Hundley
d. Aug 17, 2023
When I've gone the last mile of the way,
I shall rest at the end of the day,
For I know there'll be Joy that awaits me
When I've gone the last mile of the way…
Deacon Kenneth Wayne Hundley was born on Saturday, September 21, 1957, in Newport News, Virginia and was the baby boy of eight children to the union of the late Winston and Myrtle Hundley. God knew when no one else knew or expected that Deacon Hundley was ready to meet His angel so on Thursday August 17, 2023, he peacefully entered his enteral rest.
Deacon Hundley was educated in Newport News Public School District. He graduated from Ferguson High School class of 1975. Deacon Hundley had a strong work ethic with an extensive work history that included Howmet, Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News Public School District, and Hampton Roads Transit, but his most impactful role was as the Physical Director of the Boys & Girls Club where the youth of the community fondly referred to him as Coach H.
Deacon Hundley could always be found helping someone and was truly a family man.
