Kenneth H. Vaughan Sr. died on December 25, 2017. He was born in Farmville, Virginia on January 31, 1943 to the late Howard S. Vaughan Jr. and Dorothy J. Vaughan.

He was educated in the public schools of Newport News and was a 1961 graduate of Carver High School. He was a graduate of Hampton University (Institute) and the College of William and Mary. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

He is survived by his children; Kenneth, Jr (Izetta) and Heather Vaughan-Batten (Evwell); grandchildren; Kristopher Vaughan, Katherine Ann Murphy, and Kiersten Vaughan; great-granddaughter; Kaitlyn Murphy; sisters, Ann Vaughan-Hammond and Maida Kathryn Cobbins (George); brother Leonard Vaughan (Mary),and his Aunt; Emma Vaughan and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 12 Noon on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 29th, at the funeral home. O.H. Smith and Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Vaughan family.
