Louis Edwin Asbury Carroll, Sr. born February 14, 1935 in Anne Arundel County, MD, peacefully answered the Master's call on Thursday, July 6, 2023 in the presence of his family.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Maggie Carroll; his parents, Handy and Gladys Carroll; stepfather, Cyril Palmer; 4 sisters and 3 brothers

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, LaNeva Swann (James); sons, Louis E. A. Carroll, Jr. (Michelle) and George Carroll (Hope); godsons, Michael Braxton (Ebony) and Terrance Wesley (Takela); goddaughter, Quwanisha Hines-Roman (Whitney); grandchildren, Nicholas Swann, Dominique Thompson, Eiesha Valerio, Isaiah Carroll, Kristopher Corey, Keyra Corey and Kevin Corey; four great-grandchildren, Malachi Cothran, Micah Fleming, Reign Hammons, and Rise Hammons;  sister, Edith Brandt; brothers, Cyril Palmer, Sr. and Lovell Palmer special daughter, Angela Bowman; special friends, Agnes Coates, Doris Richardson, and Ed Bowman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A homegoing service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at First Baptist Church Denbigh. Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
