Lucinda Richardson-Alston was born July 5, 1931 in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late John Henry Richardson and Renie Lynch-Richardson both of North Carolina.
Lucinda was preceded in death by her husband, Napoleon Alston, Sr.; son, Napoleon Alston, Jr.; daughter, Lisa Alston-Newsome; grandson, Terry Eugene Alston; and numerous relatives and friends.
Lucinda is survied by her sons, Eugene and Henry Alston; daughter, Lucy Mae Alston-Goodwyn; three granddaughters, Melissa Goodwyn, Tracey Alston-Hughes (Pearlie) and Shaniqua Jenkins; grandson, Duane Alston; five great granddaughers, Teeheira Goodwyn-Taylor (Brittany), Amunique and Trinidy Newell, JaQueria Alston and Shamonique Harris; four great grandsons, Arshade Jayquane Yates, Wayne Harris, Jr., Demajae (DJ) and Jaylen Jenkins; one great-great grandson, Jaieyn Amir Lashawn Harris; two sisters, Irene Pullen and Eloise Batchelor; one brother, Salbert Richardson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank other family members and friends for their condolences, gifts and good deeds. As well as, O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home for their caring touch and services.
Viewing for Mrs. Alston will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Newport News, Virginia. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hampton Memorial Gardens in Hampton, Virginia. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. O. H.
