Newport News-  Manette Renee Williams, age 64, daughter of the late Percy and Henrietta Williams, fell asleep in death on April 30, 2023.

She was a product of Newport News Public Schools. Rene was a dedicated member of the Sanford Elementary School community, where she served the students and staff as a registrar for 30 years until her retirement in March 2023.

Renee assisted others in developing a relationship with Jehovah God through a deeper understanding of the Bible during her 47years of devoted service as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Renee leaves to mourn her loving husband of 10 years, Leandrew Williams; cousins, Gemile Joyner Williams and W. Maurice Adkinson (Delrose); uncle, Alfonso Williams; sister-in-law, Rose Williams; and host of cousins, friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters.

Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will be held 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 801-41st Street, Newport News, Virginia.  The family deeply appreciates all the support and prayers. Renee will be greatly missed by her family, friends, spiritual brothers, and sisters.
