Marjorie E. Lawrence of Newport News, Virginia died on June 26, 2024, at the home of her son Melvin Turner in Upper Marlboro, MD.  She was born in Gloucester, Virginia on October 19, 1930, to the late Monroe and Louise Cosby Emerson.  Marjorie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

The viewing and service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024.  Viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 3009 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607.

Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton ,VA  23666.
