Mary F. Moore

(July 18, 1939 - December 11, 2024)

HAMPTON - Ms. Moore was born in Asheville, NC and was the daughter of Archie Moore, Sr. and Mary Ellen Holmes Moore, both of whom preceded her in death in addition to a sister, Annette Moore; and two brothers, Fredrick Moore, and Archie Moore, Jr. Survivors include her siblings, Herbert Moore of Hampton, VA, Lewis Moore of Los Angeles, CA,and Irene Moore Grice of Carson, CA. Ms Moore graduated from Stephens-Lee High School in Asheville NC in 1957 and attended several years of college at North Carolina Central College in Durham, NC. Ms. Moore resided in California for over 40 years working for the Internal Revenue Service before relocating to Hampton, VA after retirement.

Services for Ms. Moore who passed away December 11, 2024, will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, in the chapel at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Viewing for the public will be Saturday, December 21, from 12-3p.m. at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  O. H.
