Melody Hadassah White was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2019.  She was born on February 20, 1978 to David and Arlean White in Newport News, Virginia.

Melody leaves to cherish her memory, her parents David and Arlean White; sister, Darlene Sanford (James); uncles, Sylvester Parham and Walter Murray; aunts, Ida Mae Parham (Genie Williams), Joanne Parham, Barbara White and Edna Mae White; Special friend, Christina Pittman and a host of loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  On Wednesday at the funeral home, viewing will begin at 3:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Ms. White will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
