Michael "Chris" Augburn, 62, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022. Michael, a loving son, brother, father and grandfather was born October 11, 1960, in Newport News, VA.

He was a hard worker and master floor technician, working for some of the best flooring companies in the area. He loved watching tv, cooking and looking after his beloved mother.  He was a jovial, intuitive, kind-hearted person who enjoyed the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Augburn Sr.; brother Theodore Augburn Jr.; sisters Delois Custis and Demetha Major. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rachel S. Augburn of Newport News; one son, Michael Cleary; two grandchildren, Ahdon and Malaki Cleary; seven sisters, Marian Augburn, Ethel Bond, Diane (Carl) Cheesman, Alfreda Ellis, Linda Lewis, Donna Augburn Gilchrist and Theodora Deloatch; two brothers, Alvin and David Augburn; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved Mazariona and Penny.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on  Friday, December 30, 2022 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  Viewing will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 29th, at the funeral home.  Please keep the Augburn family in your thoughts and prayers.   O.
