Michael Wayne Cornelius, also known as "Rab", was called home on July 6, 2023. His love and legacy will continue to live on through his four children, Jasmine Michelle, Michael Oliver, Andre Lamont, and Brandon Jamarll Jeter; two brothers, Edwin "Butch" Hawkins and Kevin Cornelius; sister, Shelia James; his children's mother, Teresa Jeter; and his five grandkids, Aubree, Jo'Siah, Tatianna, King and baby Alonzo.

Michael was a bright light, and breath of fresh air to all whom he'd come across. He was a straight forward, cut the point, type of man who always led with a pure heart.  He told you the truth even when you didn't want hear it. LOL.  His favorite saying was "Do the Right Thang."  He pushed the importance of family values, and to cherish the ones around you.  "Rab" also taught us to never take life for granted.  He had this comical way of telling you about yourself. LOL.  Mike could make u laugh on what may be the worse day of your life, that's just who he was. He was a light that illuminated everyone he ever came in contact with.

Heaven gained a GREAT MAN.  Sleep peacefully, King, until we meet again.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2023 at the funeral home.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
