Michelle Cecilia Brooks, 58, went to her eternal rest on May 21, 2021. She was born on May 15, 1963, to Angela Stewart in Colón Panamá.

Michelle was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend to many.  She was lovingly and affectionately known often to say, "Love you, Leave You!" to her beloved children.

Michelle confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized.  Michelle enjoyed going to worship at the house of the Lord. She loved spending time with her Husband, Children and Grandchildren. She also liked to relax and unwind at home.

She was educated in the North Carolina Public School system. Michelle was a Certified Nursing Assistant for well over 20 years and found much pleasure in caring for the needs of others. She was a hard worker and creatively ambitious.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memories and will forever be remembered by her Husband, Reginald Chapman and her Children: Derrick, Maria, Sabrina and Ira. She will also be remembered by her five Grandchildren: Jericho, Sienna, Maliyah, Elijah and Olivia. Michelle is also survived by her Mother, Angelina Stewart and three Sisters, Angela Carter of Costa Rica, Carolyn Stewart of North Carolina, Alice Houston of North Carolina. Mother-in-law, Adele Chapman of Smithfield, Brother-in-law, Christopher Chapman of Smithfield and Delaware Chapman of Smithfield; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
