Nathan
Cross
d. Aug 8, 2024
Nathan Aaron "Smitty" Cross**, 42, answered God's call on August 8th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unshakable faith.
Born on November 27th, 1981, in Newport News, Virginia, Smitty was the beloved son of Franklin and Angela Moore. A proud graduate of Bayside High School, he went on to earn an Associate's degree in IT Cybersecurity from Centura College and was a certified personal trainer. His passion for health and wellness led him to establish his own business, *NoSpottazFitness*, where he inspired many to achieve their fitness goals.
Smitty's adventurous spirit and love for the sea led him to his dream job as a Merchant Marine, where he traveled the world and experienced life to its fullest. Known to many as a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, he was equally recognized for his impressive shoe collection and unwavering dedication to fitness.
But beyond these passions, Smitty was a man of deep faith and wisdom. His radiant spirit, quick wit, and boundless love for family and friends made him a beacon of light to all who knew him. His laughter was infectious, his heart was generous, and his pursuit of truth and knowledge was relentless.
He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin Moore. Smitty leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife LaChanda Cross, his loving mother Angela Moore, his cherished grandmother Lois Price, and his dear sister Shawanna Moore. He also leaves behind two treasured nephews, Jwa'n and Josiah Moore, along with his spiritual family, Jamie, Ajeya, Jamir, Djari, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends.
Smitty's presence in our lives was a gift, and his absence will be profoundly felt. Yet, we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, continuing to watch over us with the same love and care he showed during his time on earth.
