Celebrating the Life of Patricia Evans
Early Wednesday morning, October 23, 2024, our beloved moma, mimi, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend Patricia "Pat" Evans answered the master's call at her home in Hampton, VA.
Although she is not here with us physically, her sweet spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of the many people she touched, for she was indeed a special woman who loved to laugh, loved her family, including the many she adopted as her own and she loved God.
Pat was born on January 30, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anna Louise Williams and Theodore R. Evans, Sr. Her formative education years were spent in Philadelphia, PA and Smithfield, VA.
She was preceded in death by both parents; and two brothers, Thomas J. Reese, III and Jonathan Banks.
She leaves to cherish her memories three devoted children; Ginger Blount-Moore (her favorite son-in-law James); Patrick Blount (Deonta), and Casey Blount (Tori); six grandchildren; Temple, Brooklyn, LaShanti, Shalenta (Jamil), Jamonta, and Mikayla; four great grandchildren; seven siblings; Elder Gloria Mason (Kelma); Theodore Evans, Bruce Evans (Denise), Melvin Reese (Helen), Geraldine Byrd (Leon), Alicia Delk, and Maurice Evans (Jennifer); one aunt; Virginia Gary (James); two uncles; Governor Hill and Vernon Bolling (Joan).
Special Sister Friends and Beloved Golden Girls- Hilda Wilson, Lois Powell, Brenda Dorsey, Karen Bowden, Vergena Harper, Johnette Edwards & Celeste Moody and a host of other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will take place at 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024, at New Beech Grove Baptist Church, Newport News, VA. Followed by interment in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
