On Monday, October 21, 2019 at 6:00 a.m., our beloved mother, Regina Boykins Morris, heard the summons of the Lord and slipped away peacefully to be at home with the Lord.

Our mother was born on July 24, 1949 in Newport News, Virginia to Cephas (deceased) and Elizabeth Boykins.  She was a 1968 graduate of Phenix High School and a 1974 graduate of Norfolk State College (University).

Viewing will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2019, at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home followed by a wake service from 6 to 7 p.m.  A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple with Rev. Dr. Jerome A. Barber officiating.  Ms. Morris will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church on Friday.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
