Renay Melia Latham, 17, of Hanover and Newport News, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.  She was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica on December 23, 2004 to Jordanna James Latham and Larlandio Robert Latham.

Renay is survived by her son, Denzel; beloved mother, "Kim" and adorable father, "Robert"; loving sister, Lexie; brothers, LJ and Trey; grandmothers, Veronica and Hellen; grandfathers, Errol and Robin; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Renay had an exceptional personality and was loved by everyone.  She was passionate about crafts and cooking different types of dishes.  Renay was known for her infectious smile.  She was compassionate, caring and a kindhearted person who will be incredibly missed by her family and friends.  Renay will never be forgotten for the joy that she brought to everyone's life.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Full Gospel Worship Center, 7010 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News, VA 23605.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2700 Parish Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607.  Viewing will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2022 at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
