After a short illness, Rosa "Big Ma" Needam, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the age of 97.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Needam, Sr.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Marshall of Hampton, VA, and Cheryl Robinson-Moore of Charlotte, NC; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home.  The family is having a private graveside service at Hampton Memorial Gardens.  O. H.
