Rosabelle "Rose" Jenkins Blizzard of Santa Maria, California, was born May 30, 1941 in Newport News, Virginia to the late L. Thomas Jenkins and Daisey Mae Jenkins. Her formative years were with the late L. Thomas Jenkins and Sarah Jenkins.

Rosabelle attended John Marshal Elementary School, Dunbar Elementary school and graduated from Huntington High Class of 1959. She attended Virginia Union University and later transferred to Norfolk State College where she received her BA Degree in U.S.  History.

In 1968, she married Aaron M. Blizzard.  Aaron was in the Air Force and they moved to Vandenberg Air Force Base in California in 1971. Aaron preceded her in death along with their daughter Pamela.

A Graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial  Park, Newport News.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
