Rosetta Young, 102, the mother of James Oliver Young and Diane Young, transitioned peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022. A Homegoing Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 10th at Second Baptist Church East End, 3307 Chestnut Avenue, Newport News. Viewing will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Mrs. Young loved to wear church hats and she also loved flowers, especially red roses.  In her honor, if you choose to do so, the family would like for the ladies to wear their favorite church hat to the homegoing service.  O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
