Rosita A. Kenney-Artis better known as Angie, age 67, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025 at her daughter's home surrounded by family. She was born on February 17, 1957 in Richmond, VA to the late Bernard G. Kenney and Rosita L. Kenney. Rosita attended Hampton University for art and had a passion for painting and cooking. She loved entering art shows, fishing, and spending time with her family especially her only grandchild, Christian.

Rosita had the biggest heart and sense of humor, she was extremely talented and so much fun to be around. Her love for the Lord brings our family peace knowing she is home and no longer in pain. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Rosita A. Kenney-Artis is survived by her only child, daughter Nia Ward; one grandson Christian J. Hunt; sister Cheryl Dixon; brother-in love Mark Dixon; and two brothers Bernard T. Kenney and Eric G. Kenney; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Waiting in Glory are her parents, brother, Keith D. Kenney, and daughter Che` Ward.

Rosita will truly be missed. A viewing will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12-3pm.  A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m.  on Monday, January 27, 2025 at O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests cards and floral tributes may be sent to O.H. Smith & Son.
